After a few false starts, I finally managed to get a recording of this track that didn’t skip every ten seconds. Did anyone ask for some Baby Salt ‘N Pepa? You’d be forgiven for mistaking this for Sandy and Cheryl or whatever the fuck Salt and Pepa’s government’s are, although the fact that they’re rocking over a tightly-programmed James Brown loop instead of those Herby Luv Bug shakers helps eliminate any possible confusion.

This isn’t even the best song that Ced contributed to the Finesse & Synquis LP. “Fatal Beauty” is actually better, but I don’t have it on record and it was recently posted elsewhere. Still, this track’s got a nice swing to it, perfect for doing The Wop, and showcase’s Delta Force’s dancefloor-ready-but-hardcore style effectively. As far as background on the girl’s is concerned, they were one of Puffy‘s first groups and one of the earliest Trackmasterz projects. One of them went on to serve as a weed carrier for the Wu-Tang Clan. Even if you avoid chick rap like the clap. you’ve gotta love those co-ordinated outfits.

I own this 12″…I remember picking it up at a flea market in a small town in northern VA. Got it just for the production credit. word
