Any how, I see a lot of ppl have been comparing this song to De la’s stakes is high and Ras Kass Soul on Ice… I thought these albums were very instrumental in giving Black ppl the wake up call… I didn’t see these albums as being over ppl’s head, when these albums dropped ppl were still wanting to hear songs that they could dance to. The style of music these artist had on these albums weren’t the type of songs to dance to in view of mainstream marketing…

Which is why these albums received very little airplay nationwide, not because of a too indepth message, when rappers deal with coporate america it is definitely about the numbers and what makes the units multiply.

So, lets face it, a lot of ppl are content with just getting by, revolution is easy to talk about, but not all are willing to take action for equality and respect. Some ppl are simply unaware of the nature of the threat… because they come from backgrounds of poor role models. like produces like…
