It’s unfortunate that it’s come to this. I, too think Hip Hop is in an awful state. I, too think that we have lost control and are over the deep end. But the thing is this: the things that we produce; writing, music, film, etc will never change unless we change the condition of the people…and that doesn t come from “calling out” our ppl but instead sitting down, talking to, listening to, and understanding where a person is coming from. NYoil rocks. He is a voice to listen to. like Gil Scot-Heron in his day. There are so many talented musicians out there with great gift but no real aspiration for themselves or for black people. who seem to admire Donald Trump and Al Capone more than Martin Luther and Malcom X.
