I actually have a copy of Fab Five Freddy's "Change The Beat" on a pause tape I made in early '87. I remember when I first heard "Microphone Fiend", I was annoyed because I felt Rakim was biting from Freddy but that feeling quickly faded half way through the song since Rakim obviously rocked the beat better.
