J went through a super-boring period and I stopped messing with his shit for a while, but I liked his recent EP and the soon-to-be released Then What Happened sounds solid so far – either he’s stepped-up his beat science or just picking better tracks. Posdenous making an appearance makes a lot of sense, considering he’s the father to Live‘s “brainiac” mic technique.

He’s still pretty dull. The Best Part was cool mostly for the production. He’s a competent MC for sure, but not particularly interesting.

Best Parts probably one of my favorite albums of all time… I agree his material started to kind of deteriorate after All The Above.

His live show is awesome though

The new album is dope and I am like you Robbie I found his last album a bore.

j-l has the consistency of a 60 year old gypsy cabbie in the bronx.

not a bad track, dope beat. edan used that same bassline on ‘syllable practise’.
