@ Silver Fox. Do you remember your routines? It’s historically important to record. I would kill to hear unedited bars from back in the day. no revisions just the raw lyrics without regard for the current scene. what would it take to get you to rock it? shit. even 16 bars to get a feel of what cat’s were hearing

..let me first start off by sayin, this is the illest site mann, dumb props to robbie for doin this site. dumb, Dumb propers to the kats being interviewed.most of the artist i’ve know.. and some, ive been cracked over the head with by this site. to me, history is important yo, the future of this beautiful music is at stake. some kats will say schit is killed but i dont see it that way. this music might be on the choppin block but it aint killed. this site chopps the arm off the executioners. but its up to the patrons of this music to kick that mutherfucker off the stage and save our art.as far as G Rap and Krs one battlin………!!!!!!!!!!!!!! krs is my absolute favorite emcee ever and G Rap, well he aint on my personal fav list , BUT!!!! G Rap is one of the illest poets to ever touch a mic..hands down!!! all favorites aside i might have to agree with Dr. Butchers statement that live,Krs would deal wit that dude, but on record….. Peace I am Silver Fox! let me clear up a few things..Yes i did influence LL and G Rap. It was their time..time for a changing of the guard. I did not introduce LL to Rick Ruben. I allways heard the story of LL being discoverd by Ad Rock of Beastie Boys fame. LL had send a tape to the Def Jam adress written on the Its Yours 12″. In a shoe box full of tapes Ad Rock found LLs tape. He was struck by the energy of this young kid and played it to Rick Rubin. The rest we all know.

So whats the true story of LL beeing signed by Rubin ???

Great Interview! Know what I notice? Queens mc’s from that period stuck together. (except shan. him and LL battled) People sleep on LL’s lyrical history because of all the love raps, but he was always ill. Dr. Butcher looks mad young. I’m in my 30′s and I remember pumpin “It’s a demo” as a freshman in high school.lol

Artist and song title if possible please.
It’s also on a DJ Muro break set and you modified it and added drums.

Great interview; I definitely would like to hear some music from Silver Fox too, he sounds like he was very influential on two legendary emcees. As far as KRS being cautious of G. Rap, any intelligent emcee would have been cautious of G; he was a fuckin’ beast on that mic. KRS is no slouch in the battle department and is a superior “off the top” emcee; Craig G was probably who KRS should have feared in a live battle, that would have been something to witness.
