I liked ‘Metal Thangz’ but this record is incredible. Flipping Jay-Z’s duet with Inga into a gun lover’s theme song is genius. The way FT and his mans flow on this shit is also effin’ awesome. All cover versions should be this good.
Street Smartz - ‘Ain’t No Burna’
Bonus: Chris Lowe feat. PMD – ‘Buck Whylin’”

Comment by KQ 08.04.08 @More of a flip/cover than an actual answer record, i reckon, and yet more proof that F.T was the original 50 Cent (moderately talented but very charismatic thug rapper who, instead of spitting a quick 16 freestyle over the beat, took hot songs and remade them into the polar opposite of the original).
Comment by brian beck from wisconsin 08.05.08 @Speaking of classic covers, I wouldn’t call myself a big Necro fan, but that “I Need Drugs” was a stroke of genius!!!
Comment by Brock 08.05.08 @Master P’s ‘Ghetto Dope’, a flip of the R’s ‘Eric B For President’ is a personal favourite.
Comment by End Level Boss 08.06.08 @Definitely up there; but better than “Roxanne’s a Man?” I think not.
