Face-Off: Milano V. GZA

In a classic case of great minds producers thinking alike, both the RZA and the P Brothers have just dropped new tracks flipping one of my all-time favorite breaks, featuring none-other than the legendary Genius and the mighty Milano, respectively. Both tracks win, but I’d be interested to hear which one you think has the edge over the other…

P Brothers feat. Milano – ‘Digital B-Boy’

GZA feat. RZA & Khan Acito – ‘Life Is A Movie’

GZa sounds asleep. Still got lyrics but he never sounds like he wants it. The RZA cut i up pretty straight while the P Brothers smacked it off the wall. Both are nice but the Nottingham Bronx one is specialnice and Milano’s start is too cold.

I got as much love for The Genius and The RZA as the next man, but GZA needs to wake the fuck up.

P Brothers + Milano = god status

Come on. One MC sounds tired and the other one hungry as hell. I mean…I doubt P Brothers could make a “liquid Swords” but based just on this battle – Digital B-boy kills it and the clips you put up off the Gas LP all sound dope.

GZA sounds like he’s on auto-pilot given what the man is capable of, whilst Milano spits with passion -it’s the difference between going through the motions and trying to be the best. the P Bros arrangement is tighter and fresher than how RZA did it n’all.

Never mind Liquid Swords … Paul S & Ivory have made Liquid Gas.

Agree with everyone, in particular Astro & Robbie – the P Bros. track is better but the GZA/RZA one is not wack. What’s the break though? Sounds like some Gary Numan sh-t to me but is probably some obscure Euro techno track by an artist I’ve never heard of.

What is the break? Was thinking Gary Numan too but still cant place it

“Films”. Numan was dope in 1979. In fact, he was liquid.

The Wu came harder and sonically it sounds 9 times better. Someone was right when they said GZA going through the motions. But the clarity and loudness on RZA & GZA is better. Milano sound like he scared to be heard like that mouse on the picture while the Wu wanna remind u to your ear why they still got it!
