I loved the Rap Bandit, especially this one where both the Q & A were clownin’ about him lookin like Orko [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orko] from He-Man. The only one that ever threw me off was the shortest and most straight-forward answer I’ve ever seen. Q was like, “Who is getting chased down the street in that one scene in the ‘Dre Day’ video, cuz it’s not Eazy, Luke, or Tim Dog.” Answer: “Arabian Prince”. To this DAY I have no idea if that was one of the only questions he answered honestly and briefly, or if there’s some humor flying WAY over my head! Lastly, I remember that “Yo-Yo Column”. Nothing wrong with an advice column, but to alternate it with the Rap Bandit? WTF?? Maybe he should have stuck around – I know Yo-Yo didn’t last long in the mag…

i read the rap bandit religiously, flicking to the last page like a kid with a mad magazine as soon as i copped it…
good times, a hilarious rounder to a serious magazine back then, and always had me bugged who the gay rapper was! haha

I had two letters published in Rap bandit. One of them being in the old school issue with Herc, Flash and Bam on the cover. I used to think rap bandit wrote both the questions and answers but i was proved wrong.

I don’t know how I remember this, but I remember a person asked what Phife said on Oh My God, where’s he’s like “….the anti-******* is who I be”, and the Rap Bandit said he said “Jew me, sue me”. That was like the funniest shit to me, cuz of course no one knew what or why they bleeped Phife’s words out, but that jew me sue me was perfect. Big ups to the Rap Bandit.

Classic lil’ section that was. I remember someone askin’ “is there an ugly side to rap?” and he said “yes- Too Short’s teeth”…

I also once sent him a question ad had it published. I asked “what happened to the little white boy from Run-DMC’s ‘Rock Box’ video?” and his answer was “now you know why Kid Rock has that video talkin’ about ‘You Don’t Know Me’”.

I def. enjoyed reading that shit every month, cause you knew some ol’ funny sarcastic shit was gonna be in there.
