Wow. It’s like they look for whatever to take more from the have nots or have very littles especially as it relates to our culture. Hey, KET! I just wanted you to know, if you read these comments, that when I was a 13 year old kid living on the west coast of Norway, they actually used to sell Stress magazine at a hiphopshop called… STRESS. Anyways, the magazine was really important for me, since Internet wasn´t what it is today, and my city of 250.000 people had like 4 rappers, 10 djs and three writers. This was before Eminem made hiphop mainstream outside of America, and hiphop in Europe was really 4 elemental (even though I personally prefered dirty south shit)… Shit this made me remember your Eminem cover.

Anyways, I remember Big Pun died, and then I remember I could´nt get Stress Mag anymore, and never knew why.

Well, just wanted you to know that what you did ment a lot to a lil´ kid on the other side of the world…

Respect to Ket, a true writer-but it is a fact that the name/font for “Stress” was straight jacked from the cover of an issue of either Ego Trip or On the Go.

Stress, Ego Trip, On The Go, Mass Appeal and Insomniac Magazine all inspired me to start writing. I have all of my old issues to this day and KET was an inspiration to me. I have a collage with the old Stress mailorder catalog on my wall now as a reminder. Respect.

All due respect Ket, I respect your work. I need to speak out on this. You quoted this on Mass Appeal which I’ve been reading since issue 10. Mass Appeal was around for 11 years, I wouldn’t say that’s a “FEW YEARS”. Most unsuccessful business go under within the first 7 years. They stopped printing it around this summer, isn’t that the time of the RECESSION, which caused a lot of small business to go under? Also, from what I know Mass Appeal is ran by that guy Adrian Moeller who owns Colossal Media which is fucken big, I see their signs all over the city. So I wouldn’t be little Mass Appeal as some “fly by night” establishment ran by some an amateur.

Mass Appeal is one of the best magazines. It’s sad to not see it printed anymore, but It’s even sadder for someone that I respect, Ket, twist the story around just as a filler for their press article!

Awesome interview. Still have all my old copies of Stress. On the Go and Ego Trip had a lot of silly shit in them (which was dope), but Stress was the real deal, gritty NY shit.

I always loved this RIS crew segment in an old Video Graff I had. Ket does a long tyrade against the vandal squad. “When we catch you we’re gonna vamp you!” Cousin Frank is painting mad eyeballs all over his piece in the background.
