
“Who that singin’ that? The Chi-Lites? That shit is crazy…” FAIL. Why didn’t someone tell AZ that he was listening to the Average White Band? Possible explanations include:
1. Whoever did the beat just emailed him the track and wasn’t in the studio for the vocals.
2. The producer made the track from an MP3 and had no idea who was singing.
3. Everyone was so blazed that no one even noticed.

Nah, emcees really don’t know music like producers. I bet if you played AZ “Pick up the Pieces” he would say it was by Confunkshun or the Barkays. Them Scottish cats were,(and are) the truth. Word to Susan Boyle.
