Yo, now these are good stories... Big L to sign Roc-a-fella, Biggie Smalls... (I laughed imagining Biggie saying Doo Wop 'Yo, Doo Wop', with that deep voice... that was pretty usual on him: watch Q-Tip or Dilla interviews about him)
Doo Wop fucking master

These stories are what keepe bringing me back to Unkut, nice work Robbie.

Doo Wop's mic proficiency has always astounded me, on account of the fact he doesnt really push that side of him

As somewhat of a flake myself, I take comfort in knowin he didn't have Biggie or Jay on his tapes because he was a bit sleepy haha priceless

I know Wop since he was a kid messing around with his turn-tables on a pool table in his father's house on 181st. I will never forget that one time I tried to talk him out of this DJ thing and told him he should find something more secure. I swear that until this day, I never try to persuade anyone to not pursue their dreams. He's living proof that if you have passion, you can do whatever you want.

New DJs (East Coast oriented DJs anyway)should study Wop's tapes. He's a beast on the wheels and better on the mic than at least 5 of these new major label college-age rappers!

That's got to be some surrealistic type shit for Doo Wop. Emcees like these, that worked their way on are just normal cats like the next guy. But to us they're celebrities and some didn't even realize it or were happy and cool about it.
Great interview. Big ups to Doo Wop.

Doo Wop is one of the most influential mixtape DJ's in the game. its a shame he missed out on a chance for BIG to rhyme on his tape. I would be still dreadding that 1. dang.
