Sid Roams are awsome. I first listened to them in Mr Slow Flow (EV) (in September 2010), and I was like “Good beat!” but did’nt pay much attension to the people behind it although I saw the name Sid Roams… but i didn’nt know him…
Then few months later (March, or February) i was in the page of HNIC 2 on Wikipedia and saw a lot of “Sid Roams” there… so I took a listen and… WOW! what is this?? it’s great! and since than I listened to a lot of Sid Roams’ art and I love them, and their beats are great.

Sid Roams is cool but I really love Joey C’s work from the early 00′s with Aceyalone, Dilated and Defari. These dudes also raise a good point about how are beat makers who cant DJ supposed to make $? in this post-Tower Records era. Beats me! HAHAHA!!All I know is makin beats is funner than moppin the floor at TGI Fridays! HAHAHA!!

It’s dope to see some dudes who have been doing this pre-lap top era. You can hear it in their beats. They have a real Hip Hop aesthetic that a lot of these newer cats don’t have & you can’t fake that

imo the best hip hop song evar is the one with Ev produced by Joey Chavez called People and Places, i heard that song like 6-8 years ago and was like, this is best piano loop ever created, point. blank. period. i copped that shit on wax like six months ago cause thats something that will never get old to me, shouts to sid roams, keep on keepin on. and i’ve actually shouted out this track in the comments before as one of the g.o.a.t. hip hop songs, big billie goat gruff status.
