Most Mobb Deep fans would generally agree that The Infamous… and Hell On Earth represented Hav and P at the peak of their abilities. As luck would have it, a never-before heard track recorded for the Hell On Earth sessions has made it’s way into my possession, courtesy of the ever-vigilant GT CREW.
Mobb Deep – ‘Tha World’ [unreleased]
nice good look. i remember that havoc verse from another unreleased song. illl
infamous and hell on earth are def when they were at their finest… still remember that g.o.d. pt. 3 video
cool track. pee’s verse is on another track too.
think about what kind of music teenagers were making when we were listening to rap (mobb deep) and what kind of music teenagers are making these days (soulja boyee).
SICK, mad props for gettin your hands on this. I love the style that the Mobb had back in 96, and I miss it.
I was gonna ask you to do a post on songs from that era by them that didn’t make the album because I constantly feign for this shit. props
IIIGHT!
That QBC Queens sh*t…
I heard this at an old dream team party in the QB community center though…niggas played like 80 throwaway Mobb joints! normal sh*t…
All these verses is recycled…
back then P was considered right behind Nas on the block…
right around the time twin & havs bro killa black died…
Queensbridge aint the same yo…
QBoro…
this track is ILL! Super exclusive, GOOD LOOK ROBBIE…NEEDED THIS!
Around that time, Mobb was on fire… even the songs that weren’t making the albums were crazy (‘Everyday Gunplay’, ‘Reach’, ‘Young Luv’, ‘Take It In Blood’, etc., etc.)
I’m tellin’ you Robbie… you mighta got Jack with Mobb instead of MOP.
-D!
good stuff….
Nice stuff.
You’re probably up on this, but another Mobb track from this time period also surfaced on Ruggedman’s new record. Both joints are dope.
ME REP THA QBC BUT I GET WHY THIS ONES NOT ON HELL ON EARTH, LIKE THE EARLY TWIN GAMBINO THO…
Crime Connection should get a proper release too!
Prodigy’s verse ended up on “Nighttime Vultures”, but it first popped up here and on another Hell on Earth era bootleg joint (think it was called “Tablets” or something to that effect–heard it on the Mister Cee Best of Mobb Deep tape back in the day).
Hell on the Earth is the illest album cause almost every single beat is based on 2 bar sample loops.
Any Old Mobb Is always Welcome in my opinion ..
and this is ill so pow..
both ‘infamous’ & ‘hell on earth’ were thoro…hoping Hav would come back to this sound, instead of what he doin now
This is cool but can somebody PLEASE find that versin of that joint Mobb did with Cormega, “Angel Dust”, the original version. It had one of those ill piano loops Havoc used to fuck with. Straight up, Havoc circa ’94-’97 is one of the slept on cats on the beats.
