RZA definitely

best "PRODUCER" on the MIC

he's just too nice on both ends
his body of work plus his versatility with the beats and flows.they way he flips samples and techniques is similar to a mad scientist, cats still cant figure out how dude made those samples work.
As an emcee,we look up to RZA,in terms of lyrical content and substance.well maybe oft times his flow structure and ryhme patterns are incoherent but in terms of substance and putting words together,he is a very learned cat.

Q Tip can flow but not a usual battle emcee.
Doom was always an emcee anyway so it dont count.
Extra P can get a tad boring with the rhymes.consistency only with the beats.

I bet most are young'uns that are making the votes.go get ya learn on kids.

I was gonna go Q Tip or Diamond, who make the best beats outta this group but their verses have a formula, while the RZA unpredictably spits a bugged, drugged revolutionary kung fu master style plus his beats are so massive!

Yeah I ran that list down a few posts back...If we were talking about the best rappers who made beats then I would have to change my list for sure.

I or someone should have nominated Dre on the strength of All of N.W.A's albums, The Chronic, Doggstyle and Murder was the Case, even if he doesn't write his own shit, he is still a dope rapper.

Rza has the largest catalogue and is, as an emcee, enjoyable when he isnt trying to be too weird. A quick rundown of his material: Enter 36 chambers, Tical, Return to the 36 chambers, cuban linx, liquid swords, ironman and wu tang forever. This was all in a five year period. On all those releases i'd be pressed to find more than two handfuls worth of meh, let alone wack beats.

On that premise the rzarrector gets my vote (oh yeah he spits hard as part of the gravediggaz).

I heard em both...Breaking Atoms beats are dope front to back...the L.P had a couple good beats.

Large Pro is dope but he not prolific..he probably has 20 classic beats including those two albums and his guest work.

Pete Rock has more dope beats then that with his and C.L's albums and all his remix's,so does Kanye and Rza,fuck if Rakim and Qtip did produce their stuff then they have more beats. For me I'm just thinking of who has the most dope beats and happens to rap.

Well the first round I voted Kanye, second I voted Tip but then when I got the overall list I had to go with Rza,dudes volume of dope beats is unmatched by anyone on here.

I don't think he is the best rapper on the list but if we are going for best producer who happens to rap I gotta go with Rza.The first Wu album is all dope, the second Wu Album had like a dozen sick beats,Tical has like 5 sick beats, almost all the beats on liquid swords are dope, Ghost's first album had like 5 dope beats and Rae's had half a dozen, both the GraveDigaz albums had dope production by Rza as well.

By the way, Rakim produced his first 4 or 5 albums? I nominate him for best producer/rapper of all time.

I'm 31, been into hip hop since 88...check my shit and let me know what you think...http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=140586762

The songs with others on em I'm always the first dude with the gruff voice.

Anyone that rates Eminem's beats at all, let alone in "all time greats list", needs to kill themselves as a matter of urgency.
