Download: J.Force – Cadillac Respect

This came out a while back but it’s worth grabbing regardless, especially since I just interviewed J.Force this week. Until I transcribe that, for those unfamiliar, he dropped a couple of singles in the 90’s and worked with Marley Marl in the studio and was part of the Future Flavas radio show crew. This is a collection of ‘revisits’ he did for the show and stuff that’s never been released, pieced together with some choice movie samples and interludes. Strictly SP-1200 status.

“You can order the physical copy from here for free if you pay for postage”

Ha ha! But the “postage” cost is $10 in the US (a single CD costs less $2 to ship single CDs around the US; trust me, I do it often enough), and $15 international. Surely nobody sees that and is fooled by all the “free” hyperbole. I’m a J-Force fan, but why not just be up-front and say it’s an $8 CD instead of looking like the world’s least competent scammer? If he said, “it’s $10 CD, but shipping is free in the US!” that would make more sense…

He probably figures that if he declares it a free, not-for-sale promotional item (see back cover) he’s got a better chance of getting away with uncleared samples. I doubt this is an effective legal cure-all, but I get the idea.

i am a JFORCE fan; Congrats! JFORCE, this CD is well thought and well put together. The CD price right, so for all you haters out there support this ‘cat’ make it to the TOP; He deserves it and has far beyond talent.

The whole LP is FREE on , & …also found it selling on for $8.00 in the states as well. Bottom line- the shit is hot and for the first time in hip hop a dj/producer/mc such as Force introduces a “revisit” NOT a “remix” where a classic joint is done over with an entirely new production. If your still into tangibles like I am then the physical eco-wallet CD resembles a double record vinyl and is def worth the loot
