Remember when the Rebel INS joined 7L & Esoteric for ‘Speaking Real Words’? The trio are about to drop an album as Czarfaceon Brick, and this first taste has what is now becoming the mandatory Roc Marc feature.

^ Copy, is that you? Aren’t you late for you lunch date with Kirk Cameron?

J/P, I know a lot of people don’t like Eso. I’m actually an unabashed big Eso fan. Consistent multis, obscure sports references, left-leaning political tinges without the conspiracy theory fuckery, vintage ‘Lo culture. It’s just all shit that’s right up my alley. He also seems like just a really cool, down to earth dude with a good sense of humor, who’d be fun to down some brews and chop it up with. I realize he’s not for everyone though.

That said, this track is basically mediocre. All the verses themselves were solid, but the beat didn’t exactly work to any of the MCs advantage. I don’t hate the beat either, I just don’t think the track worked as well as a track with that much talent involved in a track could, or should.

It’s similar to beat by Timeless Truth from their EP but it’s flipped a little differently. Regardless this is a dope track.

The beat seemed to fit everyone except Marc, which seemed to affect his performance. Always good to hear Deck though.
