The latest rap-up of rap that didn’t get posted here this month because I’m too effin’ lazy but was still approved by Conservative Rap Coalition standards.
Price Stylez – ‘This Thing Of Ours’
A new take on the “We Roll” loop that Pete Rock first gave Max B and Jim Jones, courtesy of Confidence. Price sounds right at home over this.
Your Old Droog (Y.O.D.) – ‘You Know What Time It Is’
El RTNC, DJ Skizz and Droog combined minds for this piece of ruff, rugged ‘n raw rap shit.
Mr. Muthafuckin eXquire – ‘Gonzo Part 2 aka Erase My Browser History’
Part of the Nah Right ‘Bootleg Liquor On A Saturday Night Series’ catches eXquire providing his ‘touching’ homage to pr0n.
Rast RFC – ‘Mark David Chapman’
Old time graff dude with a strong co-sign from Ted Bawno‘s ministry goes at it over the Pete Rock remix of EPMD‘s ‘Rampage.’
Skyzoo & Torae feat. Sean Price & Guilty Simpson – ‘All In Together’
I usually find Skyzoo unbearable but thanks to Torae and Sean P and a snare-heavy Black Milk beat, this track manages to achieve the required head-nod quality.
Spesh Feat. Kool G Rap – ‘The Meeting (Problems Or Peace)’
G Rap and DJ Premier re-unite for this Spesh character with pleasing results.
