Check the debut LP from new Diamond D discovery Big Rec from Oklahoma, produced entirely by the “Best Producer On The Mic” himself. Stand-out for me was the “NO 2 NC” which flips the same loop that Godfather Don used on “Seeds of Hate.” Cop it over at iTunes.

This album is absolutely incredible, actually it’s been out for a while and i’ve been banging it a lot and it’s growing a lot. BIGREC is a true beast on the mic, and his style goes together very well wtih Diamond’s style… i love the beats he laced him with here, at least 80-90% of them, the intro is crazy, “Bullseye”, “The Dumb Out” and TH55PENTAGON joint and “Rhyme Abomination” is pure hip-hop, the finest of what you got when you mix Eastern True School hip-hop with Southern hardcore hip-hop. “I Cry” is a beautiful joint too… fuck it this is a front-to-back play, and I really hope it will drop on CD (BIGREC has stated that CD:s will be coming but you know how that is).

Fucking great music and rhymes. Big Rec sounds like he’s got K Terribul and Freddie Foxxx in each of his lungs. Still looking forward to the Diam Piece album.

Aside from 4 dope joints (The Dawning, NO 2 NC, Abomination, The Dumb Out), the rest is pretty wack to me and it’s because of the horrible beats. I can’t even believe how wack some of those beats are (Unstoppable, Dooms Day, Be Strong). The 4 dope joints on here are more traditional sounding Hiphop joints. Never understand how ANYONE can like and listen to that double time garbage. smh
