Five days ago, Sir Menalik posted a video on the Sun Large Facebook page of himself, Godfather Donnie Brasco and Mike-El sitting in what appears to be a diner, where they announced that the three of them are working on an LP together. While we’ve only ever heard this trio get flexi wit da technique on two songs so far (‘No Competition’ and ‘Life Ain’t The Same’), Cyclops 4000 and God Don were a good combination as the Group War Commission, and the simple fact that Don has been lured back from rapping purgatory is cause for celebration by itself. While ‘Life…’ was decent, ‘No Competition’ was nothing short of exemplary – encapsulating the ‘indy’ rap genius that the weak-ass Rawkus movement attempted to bottle in a mere four minutes and twenty seconds. This could be the start of something big…pause.

What’s the chance of this actually coming out?
I look forward to this happening. Had forgotten how good No Competition is.
No way man! This is crazy dope. I was just thinking about that “Nightwork” joint produced by El-P today: “Iceberg Slim, Nightwork in timbs, slice jerks for limbs, drop the tight verse on the pavement”. Ill shit!
You may get that interview and die a happy man after all.
This is very dope news.

Does Scaramanga/Sun large Records have a Bandcamp? From where can I download/buy the GI JOE themed albums and everything post “Don Diva presents…Jabbar el” so that the money goes directly to Sir Menelik? (i.e. not discogs)???
