Among the many striking artists that graced Bobbito‘s Fondle ‘Em label were two alluring individuals known as Yeshua Da PoED & Siah. Yeshua, now known as Yesh, represented the production side of the group, his intricate work on the The Visulaz EP often overshadowed the lyrical content, not to mention chemistry, that the two MC’s possessed.

A modern day renaissance man, DJ Eclipse has made many contributions to hip-hop culture and it’s progress. From his work at Wild Pitch and then Fat Beats, to his role as DJ for super group Non Phixion, Eclipse is also a businessman, heavily involved with the daily operation of the Uncle Howie record label. Perhaps his most influential role has been with The Half Time radio show, one of the last remaining symbolic shows in NYC. In addition to his work as a DJ and host, Eclipse has also delved into the production world. His classic 1994 Remix LP, contains some amazing remixes featuring Nas, OC and more. With one of the most formidable record collections known to date, Eclipse is a walking lexicon of hip hop knowledge. Strangely under appreciated in the editorial world, DJ Eclipse has consistently progressed with his art and is well deserving of a closer look. (more…)
Anthony Cruz AKA A-Butta (Natural Elements) Interview

Anthony Cruz is a member of one of the most indefinable and amazing hip-hop groups of all time, Natural Elements. Also known as A-Butta, Anthony is 1/4th of this group, which also consists of L-Swift AKA Swigga, Mr. Voodoo and Charlemagne. Coming out of West Harlem, A-Butta began showing up on radio shows and open mics with some of the most vicious and intricate rhymes ever heard. (more…)
Holdin’ New Cards – Scaramanga Interview

Scaramanga first emerged on the Beat Terrorists EP entitled Big Willie Smith, and went on to drop verses on the Dr. Octagon LP, which he followed-up with an apperance on Kool Keith’s Sex Style. Following these cameos, he released the “Physical Jewels” single on Rawkus. In addition, he put out the “Space Cadillac”/”So Intelligent” 12″ and “Space Cadillac (Remix)” b/w “Gametime” and “Terrorworks” records. In 1998 he hosted The Lyricist Lounge with Kool Keith. (more…)
Jedi Son of Spock Interview
Jedi Son of Spock first came to light in the mid 90′s with the underground group known as The House Of Reps. The House of Reps to this day remain by and large a mystery due to their low profile insurgence of freestyle mastery and open-mic ascendancy. As a member of the House of Reps, Jedi also appeared on DJ Shok‘s “S.O.S/Padlock/Shok Therapy” single on Mass Vinyl Records. This single, among other DJ Shok produced singles, led DJ Shok to go on to working with the Ruff Ryders. In the late 90′s Jedi rhymed in the bathroom freestyle session on Lyricist Lounge volume One, as well as dropping a few mix tape verses for Eddie Ill & DL and the DJ Blowout MC’s compilation.
