Comments Off on Wu Weed Part 7 – U-God: Runaway Carrier?

I don’t know shit about U-God other than the fact that he’s responsible for the worst Wu-Tang song ever (“Black Shampoo”) and used to get locked-up a lot, which explains why his skills were a little rusty on Raekwon’s debut. He also yelled at Meth in The Show, which was one of the few highlights in a pretty shitty movie.

Luckily, I had this sent to me:

U-God put out a CD about 2 years ago featuring his weed carriers called U-Godzilla Presents: Hillside Scramblas. Before it’s release, U made the unprecedented move for a weed carrier and called out the RZA. He compared him to a slave master that would give whippings to weed carriers, or slaves, trying to escape over the wall. Hillside Scramblas had limited distribution and didn’t move many units. U-God and RZA patched up their differences and Golden Arms continues his weed carrying duties for The Abbot.

So there you have it. On a side note, I picked up that old Wu-Tang Taste The Pain PS1 game the other day for $3. Pretty funny shit, there’s a special track they made for it called “Wu World Order” and RZA does his own voice in the game. For some reason many of the other Wu members didn’t bother turning up to that session, so we’re left with 4th-rate ringers voicing their characters. The game’s basically a Mortal Kombat knock-off which I got bored of after ten minutes, but that’s my attention span for games these days. GZA had some good moves though.
