It’s a well known fact that compilaton CD’s are generally trash. These two albums from two of the most well-known rap rags out do little to alter that trend, but I though a sure-fire way to compare the releases from these rivals is to look at the Weed Carrier content.
If you examine the tracklistings, you’ll notice that I’ve bolded the songs performed by certified weed carriers.

After an initial assessment, it would seem that XXL Bricks is the clear winner in terms of WC content, with a staggering seven bag holder songs versus only three, while a closer look at the Sauce joint reveals that they’ve got a better line-up in terms of quality artists who aren’t signed to Interscope. Although I suspected that Jelly Roll and Vybz Kartel were carriers, apparently they’re a reggae dude and a producer, repsectively.
As far as actual content of good songs…XXL has that awesome Fat Joe and Just Blaze team-up, while the Source have the decent but much less exciting AZ and Premier combination. The Fat Tape easily outshines the other in terms of cover artwork, but the fact that they included a song from Bone Thugs & Harmony automatically cancels out any extra points that may have earned.
The final verdict? Both of these CD’s lose. You’re better off picking up this in the dollar bin for the ultimate Weed Carrier rapping experience.
To be fair shouldn’t the Dogg Pound be considered weed carriers. I know Kurupt is actually a quality emcee but they were holding the bag for Snoop for years.
son….you better talk about weezy f baby getting busted with a pound or whatever. there aparently was a WC in the room with him at the time who was slacking.

As far as the Dogg Pound, they graduated from Weed Carrier status a while ago, although it could be argued that once a carrier, always a carrier.
Im 4rm JAMAICA n az far as i kno MR VEGAS & VYBZ KARTEL ARE weed carriers
